Hello there, darlings!

I've finally made time to finally set this little shin-dig into motion!
My dream is for this blog to showcase my love of all things vintage, especially related to the 1930s and 1940s. Hopefully I'll get to post on all my shopping adventures, the not-so-new music discoveries, and my newly created clothes!

Note: the pictures listed as my header use material from several different sources at a time, all of whom I owe many thanks to!

This list includes (if not noted, please let me know so I may fix it):
punksafetypin from Deviantart (the little bird)
a gillion and a half photo sources

Ten Things I've Come to Realize in 2009

This has been a mighty short year, full of surprises and wonderful memories. I've discovered so many new and exciting things, and below I've listed ten thoughts that have helped to shape me into the person I am today. Enjoy!

1. My grandmother has influenced my life more than any other human being, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

2. I can handle a lot more pain than I ever thought possible, and in a strange way it makes me feel stronger.

3. The earlier you get things out of the way, the better. Don't ask why it's taken 18 years to realize this.

4. Goodbyes are inevitable, and even though I hate them, I've come to accept that some thing can't always stay the same. Besides, when one chapter ends, a whole new one begins.

5. No matter how far away I go, there will always be a whole new set of people, expedriences, and choices that I'll want to escape.

6. I may not be thin and pretty, but I sure do have a hell of a lot more personality than half of the people in this town.

7. Not knowing every detail of the rest of my life is okay.

8. No matter how many times I see "A Christmas Story", I still want to see it again.

9. I listen to different music, dress differently, and use different words than most other people....and there is absolutely no reason to be ashamed of this. Ever.

10. So this whole living thing, it's going to be one wild ride.....

I can't wait.
